Analytics
Insights into OC’s consumption activity
Outcome Chains analytics provides visibility into the viewing and consumption pattern of an OC. It allows OC viewers to quickly identify popular OCs with the highest number of views and grants the creator of those OCs valuable usage feedback on which OC, link, or attachment viewers find most interesting.
From the homepage, users with Advanced, Pro, and Admin license can see and sort the OCs they have access to by a set of common viewing measures:
- Views: total number of OC or template views
- Unique Views: total number of unique OC or template views
- Avg. Session Duration: average amount of time a user would spend viewing the OC or template
- Template Rating: template’s user ratings (the rating is only available if template owner has made the ratings available to the public
- Average OC Views/User: average number of times a user re-visited an OC or template
- Average Links Viewed/User: average number of links within the OC that a user clicked open
- Average Files Viewed/User: average number of attachments (content) within the OC that a user viewed
OC Analytics
Each OC contains a dedicate dashboard, containing more granular links & attachment level viewing statistics. The owner of the OC and users with edit permission can access the dashboard by hovering over the OC and selecting the analytics icon.
Within the dashboard panel, users can apply date range filters to chart and view usage statistics for a certain time range.
If the OC is shared via a room, users can apply a filter to show data for all room participants or narrow it down to a particular user.
The Links & Attachment section of the dashboard also contains granular level reporting on Links and attachment statistics:

Data Center Security and High Availability
OCI services run in the AWS data center. Outcome Chains does not run its own routers, load balancers, DNS servers, or physical servers. Outcome Chains services have been built with disaster recovery in mind. OCI’s infrastructure is spread across 3 AWS data centers (availability zones), with failover capabilities, if necessary. OCI’s servers are within OCI’s own virtual private cloud (VPC) with network access control lists (ACLs) that are designed to prevent unauthorized requests getting to our internal network.
Encryption in Transit
All data sent to or from Outcome Chains is encrypted in transit using encrypted via industry standard HTTPS and Transport Layer Security (TLS). Our API and application endpoints score an “A+” rating on SSL Labs’ tests. This means we only use strong cipher suites and have features such as HSTS and Perfect Forward Secrecy fully enabled.
Encryption at Rest
Outcome Chains encrypts all customer personal data at rest using AES-256. This applies to databases, server disks, and backups.
Network Security
OCI’s Security Team is on call 24/7 to respond to security alerts and events. OCI’s network is protected by intrusion detection/prevention technologies (IDS/IPS) that monitor and block malicious traffic and network attacks. We use a SIEM system to centralize logs, perform correlation analysis, send notifications and take actions. OCI’s servers utilize sophisticated security tools to scan virus and perform file integrity monitoring.
Third-Party Penetration Tests
In addition to OCI’s extensive internal scanning and testing program, Outcome Chains regularly employs third-party security experts to perform a broad penetration test across OCI’s Production Network.
Vulnerability Scanning
Network security scanning provides OCI deep insight for quick identification of out-of-compliance or potentially vulnerable systems. OCI performs regular vulnerability scans of OCI systems .
Availability Monitoring
Outcome Chains uses robust application performance and infrastructure monitoring tools. Availability and performance issues are notified to OCI’s DevOps team in real time, so that the team can respond promptly.
Personnel Security
OCI’s infrastructure and security team includes people who have played lead roles in designing, building, and operating highly secure Internet facing systems at companies ranging from startups to public companies that have processed hundreds of millions of healthcare and payment transactions, and in compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI-DSS regulations. The Human Resources department conducts pre-hire background checks on all employees, which include:
- State and local criminal history
- National criminal history
- Personal, professional, and educational reference verification
All employees are required to sign OCI’s standard employment policies, including a compliance statement that acknowledges the employee’s willingness to comply with and understanding of acceptable IT usage and Information Security policies.
